Do you charge for drawing amendments?

All our Designers and Architects are committed to drawing your plans exactly as you wish whilst providing you with their expert knowledge of the planning process and any potential problems. To make your plans perfect Extension Hub will give you three full rounds of amending your plans at no extra charge. Any additional amendments are charged by the Designer/Architect.

Whilst your drawings are in planning the Local Authority may ask for minor amendments to the design, these are included too. However, if the council requested a full redesign or a new application, we would quote you for the additional work required.

How do I get started?

It’s easy to get started with Extension Hub!

Browse through the designs, choose your designer, and get an instant quote for the drawings. To save some ££ you can choose to survey your property yourself (please download our Sketch form and guidance documents here). If you have selected to have a surveyor, then they will be in touch to arrange a convenient time for yourself.

Can I Survey my property myself?

Of course, you can, it’s easy!

All you need is a tape measure, a smart phone, a pen and paper.

We require internal and external measurements plotted out on our sketch sheet making note of any drains nearby, some photographs of the property inside and out and if possible, the next-door neighbours.

When do you take payments?

When you sign up for your Architectural drawings, Extension Hub will take a deposit, which is 50% of your initial drawings cost along with any additional extras. The remaining balance is due when drawings are finished, and any requested amendments have been carried out.

Do you submit my plans to the Local Authority?

Extension Hub will submit your plans to your local authority at no extra cost, you will be required to pay your own local Authority Fees. All drawings produced will be suitable for Planning consent, Lawful Development or Permitted Development applications.

What happens if my plans get refused?

In an ideal world this wouldn’t happen, however if it does your Designer/Architect will work with you along with your Local Authority and will look to amend your drawings, taking into consideration the refusal notice made by the Local Authority.
